Full Speed Ahead

GUARDUS ends 2017 with a hat-trick

For the third consecutive year, the specialist for Manufacturing Execution Systems, GUARDUS Solutions AG, yields double-digit growth. Moreover, with an increase of 20 per cent in the business year 2017, the software manufacturer from Ulm achieved the highest organic growth since the foundation of the company. The growth registered in 2016 was 15 per cent and in 2015 17 per cent.

The company, with its two locations and 60 employees, has been bolstered by the booming digitisation market. “Due to our integrated platform for all the quality and production relevant fields, we are perfectly equipped with GUARDUS MES for the high-speed train called ‘Industry 4.0’”, says Simone Cronjäger, member of the Executive Board of GUARDUS Solutions AG. Thus, the software blacksmith obtained major MES projects at well-known companies such as the Gerresheimer Group, Raumedic or Possehl last year. GUARDUS MES also heads the representatives of “more exotic” fields such as the German kitchen manufacturer Schüller towards a future-oriented data intelligence. The industrial companies that work at high speed to drastically optimise the key factors: automation, mobility and process flexibility are precisely those with German production sites.

“We opted for GUARDUS because of a clear user decision and the possibility to adapt the system ourselves. Moreover, we also liked the management of GUARDUS. We are happy that we will be cooperating with them as partners over the next ten years”, said Salim Siddiqi, Global Senior Director IT Plastics & Devices at the Gerresheimer Regensburg GmbH.

Florian Pöhner, IT manager at Raumedic, who is in charge of the implementation of the IT software GUARDUS, says: “The system allows the optimum meshing of our quality control and production. For us, the MES was a logical step forward in order to be involved in future projects regarding Industry 4.0”.

That customers not only have a good feeling when deciding to buy the system, but also keep being convinced after the go live of the MES produced by the team from is demonstrated by the packaging specialist Huhtamaki. In this company, nobody wants to miss the new system any more. “Even if the first step “only” had the target to replace the old software in similar proportion, we already benefit from obvious process improvements, especially in the inspection planning. The GUARDUS team has kept its promises and has delivered us exactly what we needed”, says Dr Margit Klocke, Head of Quality Management at the Huhtamaki’s site Ronsberg.

Going forward into the future together
One of the basic aspects which is equally important for continuous GUARDUS’ growth is the close collaboration with software and services partners which specifically complement the portfolio of the professional in MES such as the integration specialist from Augsburg soffico GmbH as well as the company DUALIS GmbH IT Solution with its headquarters in Dresden, as GUARDUS’ partner in the field of order scheduling. “Holistic solutions coupled with high know-how and industry expertise are the main reasons for our consistently positive development in recent years. And we keep working with fervent energy for a future characterised as well by sustainable growth”, says Cronjäger.
