New App in the GUARDUS MES MobilePlace Provides Efficient Supplier Conversations
GUARDUS Solutions AG attended the trade fair ‘Control 2014’ under the banner of modern “Comfort by Design” concepts. During this trade fair, the manufacturer of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) presented its new Business App for the mobile supplier rating. The task of this software is, on the one hand, the preparation of all the monthly reports and performance indicators, such as parts per million (ppm), quality indicators, delivery reliability, or A-B-C ratings, that are important for the supplier evaluations and, on the other hand, by means of this Business App, the user has access to the problematic products and via the drill-down function he/she can go directly to the root cause analysis and problem elimination at the supplier in situ. “GUARDUS MES Supplier Rating” provides the user with all the data that he/she needs at a supplier evaluation to solve the problem quickly. A multi-touch interface allows a comfortable and safe navigation so that you can access all the information with “a swipe”, said Andreas Kirsch, member of the managing board of GUARDUS Solutions AG.
Users who want to use the GUARDUS MES Supplier Rating on terminal equipment such as a smartphone, phablet, or tablet, can do it in a totally safe environment. By means of the GUARDUS MES MobilePlace, all apps and their access rights will be completely administered via the database of the MES. Thus, the MobilePlace functions as a technological administration and control centre that does not depend on the cloud and app infrastructures of external providers. At regular intervals, new respectively updated apps will be set there and automatically updated on the terminal devices that have been assigned by the own IT administration. If such a device is lost, the administrator has a function to block every kind of access to the existing data.
