Competence and safety are key values in the aerospace vertical. Every component and process must adhere to the most demanding legal requirements. These requirements lead to a large amount of documentation that must be retained for several years and even decades. ZEISS GUARDUS meets, and for the forward thinking enterprise can even exceed, these requirements with a core solution for the aerospace industry with the following features:

“Our customers, the OEMs, send us their individual serial number lots for parts we manufacture. These lots are clearly and transparently managed at every stage of production. The CAQ system handles nearly 1,600 different series.”

The seamless traceability is implemented via an explicit serial number administration within the CAQ application. The serial number ranges will be established for the production by MTU or they will be communicated to the suppliers or directly defined by the customer. The CAQ system will take over approximately 1,600 ranges. Whether or not serial numbers are mandatory in a material master will be established by the engineering on the basis of the criticality of the component and is maintained in the SAP when opening it. This specification is transferred to ZEISS GUARDUS for each goods incoming and production order. ...
