1.7. Action Management

The ZEISS GUARDUS Action Management (CAPA) module actively supports the process of continuous improvement. Since it is a central collecting and coordination component, all the actions from CAQ, and manual/machine data acquisiton are gathered here. Among these are the audits, incoming inspections, production errors and process violations, as well as 8D-reports and customer and supplier complaints. Defined actions and To-do lists are automatically scheduled and dates set for review. Open and overdue actions are immediately sent for processing. This creates a knowledge database which provides all users with targeted information like parts history, and a list of all actions, causes, comments and respective execution. This information is accessible from any site by virtue of the ZEISS GUARDUS Web Browser.
