2.3. Machine Data Acquisition (MDA)

The ‘Machine Data Acquisition’ module connects production host computers directly with ZEISS GUARDUS via standard interfaces. Thus, the module receives the data from all the machines that are connected to the production host server. ‘Simple’ machine signals can also be recorded and processed without any difficulty. Thus, it is possible to assign data such as status, quantities, time types, and process parameters to the current production orders directly from the machines.

“Fully automated production lines represent a real challenge for quality control. The efficient dialogue of the user with the CAQ system is very important, but the decisive aspect is the perfect integration of automated and manual production data acquisition mechanisms. With GUARDUS MES we could easily cope with this challenge.”
